7 years. 28 quarters. 84 months. That’s how long we’ve delivered on-target 8%* returns in our first mortgage investment fund.
Tri City Group has a proven 50-year track record in mortgage lending and investing. We have consistently delivered 8%* returns over 7 years for our investors in our first fund. And we don’t intend on stopping anytime soon.
A 50-year history (and counting).
Tri City Group has been in the heart of Vancouver’s real estate market since the 1960s while funding mortgages and investing in real estate throughout BC and Alberta. In that time we’ve been engaged in real estate development, mortgage lending, and income property ownership.
In 2015, we launched our second trust, Tri City Group Monthly Income Mortgage Trust, which has allowed investors to collect on the targeted annual return every year since.
Through our people, we have extensive experience in the real estate development and investment industry. Our team is skilled and knowledgeable in identifying and investing in residential, commercial, and industrial mortgages that provide above-market returns. Together, we’ve helped many investors save and grow their portfolios for security, retirement, and towards their future.
A family business, through and through.
Tri City Group was started by Henry Goodman. Today it is owned and managed by his son Michael. Even now, Michael holds Henry’s timeless advice to heart:
“As an investment, mortgages have always been more secure and steady than stocks. When I was a young man in the 1930s, I saw many corporations plummet and vanish leaving stockholders with nothing, whereas real estate lenders were protected. Decades later, during subsequent recessions, those families and friends who invested in mortgages with us were safe. By having access to the ownership of the underlying land and buildings our interests were protected.”
– Henry Goodman, Founder
* E. & O. E. Target returns quoted above are based on Series A units in Tri City Mortgage Investment Fund (Trust 1). All return figures are annualized and based on reinvestment of distributions during the year. Returns for investors who did not reinvest distributions were slightly lower. Past returns are no guarantee of future returns. Trust 1 and Trust 2 are managed independently of each other by Tri City Fund Management Ltd. Funds are not commingled and the returns of one Trust bare no relationship to the other. All Trusts share management, philosophy and some common services (to reduce costs).
